About The Program

The Addiction and Mental Health Worker program is a 66-week diploma designed to prepare you for a career in mental health support and addiction recovery. You will build practical skills in counselling techniques, crisis intervention, treatment planning, case management, relapse prevention, and trauma-informed care, while studying areas like addiction theory, pharmacology, and family dynamics.

Graduates can pursue careers with an average wage of $26 per hour and up to $38 per hour, depending on role and experience. Your training includes certifications such as Mental Health First Aid, Trauma and Violence Informed Care, Suicide Prevention (SPRAM), and Naloxone Administration, along with a 12-week, 300-hour internship for real-world experience.
